It is a scientific and industrial research organization. It was established on November 16, 1973.

Application Deadline
The online application and application fee submission process started on 14 April 2023 at 10.00 am. The application process will continue till 05.00 pm on 18 May 2023.
All fellowships will be awarded for one year initially. The duration of the fellowship may be extended by yearly renewal subject to the recommendation of the evaluation committee constituted by the council and approval of the board on satisfactory progress of the research. In general the total duration of the fellowship will never exceed 4 years. Fellows will be paid allowances/gratuities at prescribed rates.
Foreign candidates can also apply for CSIR Post Doctoral Fellowship. But in that case the candidate has to apply through a research supervisor of BCSIR. The prescribed application form can be collected from BCSIR Secretariat or downloaded from BCSIR website (www.bcsir.gov.bd).
2 (two) copies of freshly taken passport size photograph (attested) along with the application form, attested copy of educational qualification certificate and attested copy of mark sheets of various examinations, attested copy of National Identity Card or Birth Registration Card and 300 in favor of Secretary, Bangladesh Science and Industry Research Council, Dhaka /- (Three Hundred) Irreversible Pay Order/Bank Draft to be enclosed.

Interested candidates must apply through this website bcsir16.teletalk.com.bd. How to apply online is described below.
- Visit bcsir16.teletalk.com.bd or click the above button.
- Click on “Application Form”.
- Now you will see a web page. From there, select a post name and click “Next”.
- Now select “Yes”/”No” according to the question and click on “Next”.
- Now you will see the BCSIR job application form on your screen. Fill out the application form with the required information and submit it.
